The family face of Mary Jean
Posted on Monday 24th May 2010
I would describe my family as pretty normal and average really - I have both parents thankfully, one sister and two brothers along with 3 (very annoying) cats.
For many years, I was into using essential oils to help my friends, work mates and family. I taught myself through reading books, using the internet and practice. A friend said to me why not go further and make soaps and creams, so about two years ago I began to look into it.

It snowballed from there - Mum jumped on board along the way and my brother who does web development helped me out with a web site.
I had early on decided to use organics as much as possible because of the environmental benefits as there are no pestisides used in organic farming. Many people question if there is a real difference and I would suggest there is.
Now that Mary Jean is trading, I feel very fortunate for what I now have, I am a strong minded, determined woman but still I am grateful for the support my family gives me.
Away from Mary Jean I spend my time taking walks with Mum as we find walking through the countryside to be relaxing. I also like doing cross stitch and have many projects completed, which I plan to put photo's of them on this blog as time allows.
I am a big fan of CSI (I never fail to miss an episode) and many other TV programs found on Sky, particularly National Goegraphic and Discovery are regular favourites.
I think that is enough for now, the more I blog the more you will learn about me personally and one blog entry is never going to be enough so come back again soon.
