The vital role vitamins play in our daily lifes
Posted on Sunday 20th Jun 2010
Vitamin A is found in food and animal meat and also indirectly from plants - this is what gives plant's their yellow and orange colour.
Our bodies naturally convert beta carotene (an anti-oxidant) into vitamin A which is important for new cell growth and regeneration, preventing damage to our bodies from free radicals brought on by the many toxins found in our body.

For maintaining respiratory functions, your digestive and urinary tract, this vitamin plays it's part, also specially important for good eyesight - and during early pregnancy, for embryonic development.
As you can see, there are benefits in real terms for using (might I say, organic?) carrier oils are key to restoring your health, and of course, your beauty.
There is a reason why we use high levels of Avocado in our Bergamot & Patchouli soap as well as our Chamomile & Geranium body butter - simply because Avocado has seriously high levels of Vitamin A.
We have not found another cosmetic manufacturer here in the UK that generously puts 18% Avocado in their body butter - our cold pressed carrier oil is expensive but we feel, worth it as our customers benefit all the more.
Now that I have had a swipe at other manufacturer's, other ingredients to watch out for include Goat's milk, Shea butter and Sweet Almond. For more information about Avocado and other ingredients, take a look at our feature found on our shop.
I am sure you will also enjoy this resource that I found on my travels, and if you find a good resource yourself regards to natural ingredients, share with others by posting the web address in a comment.
